so i got a jury summons and showed up on time like a responsible person and now i'm just. sitting. in this room. with forty other people. staring at a vending machine that only accepts exact change and has been out of literally everything except those terrible beef jerky strips since 8:47 AM. it's now 11:30. nobody's told us anything. my job is calling.
