One itch a day. No replies. Just reactions.

Terms of Use

Last updated: 6 August 2026

These terms are a contract between you and *itching ("we", "us"), based in Croatia, which operates itching.app.

By using itching.app you accept them. If you don't, don't use it.

1. Who can use itching.app

You must be at least 16 years old. There is no age verification, so this is on your honour, but if we learn that an account belongs to someone under 16 we will delete it.

2. Accounts

You don't need an account to read or react. You need one to post while keeping a streak, to mute tags, and to manage your own itches.

Accounts are a username and a password. We do not ask for your email address, which means we cannot reset your password and we cannot recover your account. If you lose the password, the account is gone. Choose accordingly.

You're responsible for what happens under your account. Don't share it. Tell us at support@itching.app if you think someone else is using it.

3. One itch a day

One published itch per person per calendar day, resetting at midnight in your local time.

A rejected itch doesn't count against that limit. A deleted itch doesn't give the limit back.

We may apply this limit by account, by browser, or by other technical signals. Attempting to work around it — multiple accounts, cleared cookies, automation — is a breach of these terms.

4. What you may not post

No hate speech or slurs targeting people for who they are. No harassment, doxxing, or targeting of a private individual. No sexual content involving minors. No credible threats. No spam, advertising, or links posted to drive traffic somewhere else.

Criticising public figures, employers, companies, institutions, governments and the general shape of modern life is the entire purpose of this website and is expressly allowed.

You may not: scrape the site, automate posting or reactions, inflate reaction counts, attempt to identify another user, probe or attack our infrastructure, or use itching.app to break any law that applies to you.

5. Moderation

Every itch is checked automatically before publication by an AI moderation step we call the Dermatologist. It can reject a post on safety grounds, or on the grounds that it isn't a complaint.

Automated moderation gets things wrong in both directions. If yours was rejected unfairly, write to support@itching.app and a human will look at it.

Anyone can report a published itch. Reported content may be hidden automatically pending review. We may hide, delete or refuse any content, and suspend or delete any account, at our discretion — including content that breaks no rule but that we don't want on the site.

6. Your content stays yours

You keep every right you have in what you write.

By posting, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to store, display, reproduce, adapt, translate and distribute your itch, for as long as it is published on itching.app and in connection with promoting the service. Specifically, this allows us to:

  • show it in the feeds, on its permalink, and on link-preview images;
  • translate it into other languages using an AI translation service, and cache those translations;
  • render it as an image and publish it on itching.app's own social media accounts, in English, together with the generated name your itch was given.

That licence covers the text of your itch, the generated name, and the tag. It does not cover your username, and your username is never attached to a published itch.

Once something is published outside itching.app, we can't always pull it back. If your itch has been posted to Instagram and you then delete it here, the copy on Instagram does not disappear automatically. Write to support@itching.app and we'll remove it manually, but there will be a delay, and anything already screenshotted is beyond anyone's reach.

7. Deleting your own itches

You can delete any itch you've posted, from your profile page. It disappears from the site immediately.

Deleting does not restore that day's posting slot, and doesn't undo anything covered by section 6 above.

8. Not everything here is a person

itching.app publishes a small amount of content that we generate ourselves, including itches and reactions produced with AI, to keep the feeds from being empty. It is not presented as anything other than what everything else on this site is: a complaint with a made-up name on it.

You should not assume that any given itch was written by a human being, and you should not read reaction counts as a measurement of a real audience.

9. Availability

itching.app is provided as-is and as-available. It's run by one person and it may be slow, broken, or gone. There is no uptime commitment, no backup guarantee, and no promise that your itches will still be here next year.

We may change, restrict or discontinue any part of the service at any time.

10. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, or loss of content arising from your use of itching.app.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited under Croatian or EU law. If you are a consumer, your mandatory statutory rights are unaffected.

11. Ending it

You can stop using itching.app at any time, and delete your account from your settings page.

We can suspend or terminate your access if you break these terms. Sections 6, 10 and 12 survive.

12. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Croatia. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your own country and may bring proceedings there.

The European Commission's online dispute resolution platform is at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

13. Changes

We'll update these terms as the site changes. Material changes get a notice on the site for at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use itching.app after that means you accept them.
