I've been working on this one branch for three years now, three YEARS, and every single lead just stops dead. I've got census records, I've got ship manifests, I've got church records all saying slightly different names and dates, and then I found one microfilm copy from FamilySearch that just... the transcription is so badly wrong I almost threw my laptop.
